Original: A 39-year-old Waterbury woman was fatally stabbed in what police called a domestic dispute, marking the second such attack in the city in two days.
Officers responded to a home on Lounsbury Avenue after receiving a distress call and found the woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics rushed her to an area hospital, but she did not survive.
A man at the scene was arrested, though police have not yet released his name. Charges are pending.
Police have also not released the victim's name.
The stabbing comes just one day after another violent domestic attack in Waterbury, where a 25-year-old woman was repeatedly stabbed. She survived and was in serious but stable condition at an area hospital on Monday.
